Aidan is so full of it I swear. I need to be better about writing down what he says before I forget it, I find myself laughing at him even when he is naughty.
The other day I found him in the pantry climbing to the top for treats...I don't know how they know, but they always know when you are hiding something. I got him down and talked to him about they rules and that he needed to ask if he wanted something. He said, "I know what the rules are, but if I ask you, you say I can't have it". He now comes to me several times a day with, "I know you're just going to say no, but can I have...." The kid would live off of sugar if I would let him.
The other day when we were dropping off carpool (I drive 3 neighbor boys plus mine to a performing arts charter school in Ivins about 30 min away...that right there is a good time) and as we were leaving the school they had a whole bunch of cones set up to direct you the way they want you to go. Aidan says, "What happens if you run over those cones mom?" I tried to explain what they were for and why they were there. He said, "no, I mean what happens to the cones. I think we should run over them. It would be really funny!"
One day Al will tell him this story. It still makes me laugh every time I think about it and I wasn't even there. We were up in Salt Lake and it was the middle of winter. Al and my brother Nick were outside on an office building they were doing electrical on when a car came barreling down the road taking out a whole line of barricades. When the car finally came to a stop they ran out to check on it. It was a young girl with a frozen windshield who couldn't see a thing. She rolled down her window and said, "what did I hit?" Nick said, "a whole row of barricades because you didn't scrape your windshield." she just reached down, got her scrapper and handed it to the boys to take care of for her and then went on her way like nothing ever happened.
